Most people don’t WANT to believe in the Law of Attraction (LOA), or the Universal Law that ‘you create your reality’ – because believing in such an idea also simultaneously requires you to admit that everything that has happened to you up until this very point was your doing.
And that’s a big one for a lot of people.
If you live a totally fabulous life – it’s easy to accept the LOA and take responsibility. Cause shit’s good, of course you want to take credit for it.
But if you’re in a tight spot, and you’re not enjoying life, or if you don’t have what you want and if you’re not doing what you want, you’re definitely not going to take credit for it. So you won’t accept the LOA as easily as someone who’s having a sick one. However, for every ‘effect’ there is a ’cause’, someone HAS to be responsible, but because you don’t want to take ownership for it, you have to blame!
You blame the government, your school, your boss, your parents, Centerlink, your boyfriend/girlfriend, your brother/sister, your childhood memories, your anxiety, your depression, you’ll find something… anything.
And whatever you choose to bend the blame onto, becomes your story; your narrative.
And you use this story all the time. And this is why, you live a shitty life.
Because >>>> The L.O.A.
You are a direct product of your thoughts / your stories / your narrative.
So if you ARE one of these people, in tight spot, having a shitty one, and struggling to find inspiration, this is for you: Get the fuck out of your own way.
You see, forcibly not admitting the LOA because you refuse to accept responsibility for your shitty circumstances, is down right stupid. What’s more important, really!? Your pride? Or living a great life?
At present, you’re putting your pride before your happiness. Stupid.
It’s like you’re driving your bus, navigating your way through life, but you don’t have your hands on the steering wheel. Then you’re ‘surprised’ and pissed off that you keep crashing!!!??
True story: I know an amazing man who was an alcoholic the majority of his adult life. However has been alcohol free for almost 20 years now. He had two beautiful daughters, who are both now middle aged grown adults. One is an alcoholic and is in an out of hospital, the other works in a Children’s Hospital, and travels the world living her dream. Both say the same thing when asked why they are who they are today: “I grew up around substance abuse, how could I be any other way.”
Ultimately, you decide who you want to be. You can blame the world, blame your past, the people around you and your current circumstances and end up a dead beat. Or, you can alchemise your story and make it the very reason to be extraordinary.
Either way – you are a direct reflection of your story. And whether you like it or not, the universe conspires to make your word manifest. The LOA doesn’t work on your belief in it or not, it works regardless.
“Whether you think you can, or think you can’t — you’re right.” – Henry Ford
So… I won’t tell anyone if you don’t. Our secret. Put the pride away, listen fiercely to your thoughts and stories (internal and external), become acutely aware of your language, and design a new, empowering, delicious, mouth watering, story.
Say it daily.
When people ask you what you’re doing, don’t rattle off the long list of excuses and bullshit blah-blah sob story crap that keeps you where you’re at. Tell them the new story that you’re creating, the story of who you are becoming, and watch your life unfold magically towards the dream you’ve kept hidden for FAR too long.
