MEET THE TEAM
With a curious and creative mind, Elizabeth spent much of her teenage years & early 20’s struggling to find a comfortable place in the world. With no clear step on where to begin, Liz studied a Bachelor of Arts in Media at Macquarie University. She took up work in childcare, where she discovered a genuine interest in observing and facilitating the development of children.
Liz grew up with a relentless passion and interest in the arts. At 19, she turned her focus towards music and began to write original material with her close friend Hannah Field. Despite not having any formal musical education, Liz spent hours of focused experimentation to become a self developed songwriter, guitarist and singer.
As technology & music evolved over the years, so did Liz’s skill; again teaching herself to utilise equipment and programs like Garage-Band and Logic, enabling Liz to record and experiment with various instruments, melodies and sounds.
At 22, Elizabeth & Hannah Field formed the band Little May, which officially launched in 2012. In 2013, Liz left university and dedicated herself full time to Little May, and has consistently toured and recorded nationally and internationally with the band since 2014.
Little May has appeared on the line-up of critically acclaimed and internationally renowned festivals including Splendour in the Grass, Laneway Festival, The Falls Music and Arts Festival, and Reading & Leeds Festival in the UK. The band has played alongside and toured with the likes of Rodriguez, City & Colour, Mumford & Sons, The Vaccines, Cold War Kids, Bernard Fanning & Angus & Julia Stone. In 2015, the band recorded their debut album ‘For The Company’ in Hudson, New York with Aaron Brooking Dessner from the internationally acclaimed band, The National.
After years of first hand industry experience, Liz began to recognise there is no such thing as a “one size fits all” approach to creativity and artistry. When she’s not focused on her band, Liz spends her time as a guitar & songwriting tutor to young artists at the Central Coast Music Factory. It was through this that she begun to study creativity more intently, seeking to understand how it manifests itself in the world, and within each individual.
Lexi left home very young to attend University but soon found climbing the Corporate Ladder was more in line with her deep desire to understand the business world from the get go. Working hard is a strong attribute and it was not long before Lexi found herself rubbing shoulders with CEO’s and business leaders who found her skill set a valuable asset to their organisations. She was very well received, and despite her young age, great managerial opportunities came her way, in the finance sector and elite training fields.
In 2012 Lexi decided it was time to explore foreign shores, resigning from her executive role, she took 12 months off to travel to the US, Europe and all through South America on a journey of self-discovery.
Initiating her travels, Lexi attended, and delivered at Joe Williams, Professional Speakers Academy. On conclusion, Lexi was highly applauded by the International Speakers’ Panel, for her natural and engaging style.
Not long after her return to Australia, Lexi completed her NLP Practitioner Mastery training, and launched her S.E.T for Life (Self-Empowerment Techniques for Life) Program in 2013. This program was filled with cutting edge applied psychology. Rather than teaching people what to think, Lexi taught people how they think, empowering them to take control of their lives.
In early 2015 after training with her Master in Bali, Lexi was honoured to become a Kundalini Reiki Master, and launched ‘Sacred Souls’, a movement that combines her wisdom of the mind, body & spirit with her innate healing abilities. Later Lexi was introduced to Frequency Healing, using Rife Machines, Plasma Tubes & Radionics to heal. The technology allows Lexi to boundlessly heal, both locally a non-locally, The technology is almost unlimited to what it can heal.
2016 took a creative turn, which saw the birth of The Black Sheep Ensemble.
Together with her business partner Liz Drummond of Australian band ‘Little May’, they have a shared love and profound understanding of art and it’s expressions. Upon reflection and enquiry Lexi & Liz saw huge holes in the music and art industry, which, for the sake of art, needs desperate attention.
Lexi is highly passionate about learning and the sharing of knowledge; studying quantum physics, the human mind, science, spirituality, consciousness, healing and meditation. All these areas blend together to create a tapestry of knowledge and learning that most adults don’t experience in a lifetime.
Lexi is an experienced Visual Artist, NLP Master Practitioner, Kundalini Reiki Master, Facilitator, Professional Speaker, Frequency Practitioner and Hypnotherapist.
